    Chinese Copper-red Pot

    2 3/4" x 2 3/4". Globular form with white ground glazed all over except for the bottom of the foot ring, painted with copper-red dragons pursuing a pearl amid cloud forms on two sides, a band above the foot ring with floral meander and a band of alternating ruyi heads and bats around the mouth, details picked out with gilding, plus a gilded ring on the lip, marked in red enamel, within an incised ring, with four character mark of Qianlong and of the period.

    4 7/8" h. Slender ovate form, cylindrical foot ring, tapered shoulder and trumpet horn neck and mouth, raised enamel décor from top to bottom, on the neck a band of ruyi heads followed by a band of pendant jewels, on the shoulder band of upright overlapping stiff leaves, a narrow double reciprocating linear band, a wider Greek key band followed by a narrow pendant spear head band, the body with a hawk standing on a rock formation with lotus leaves below and a large setting sun to the left, above the sun is a short poem in black enamel with three red seals, on the foot ring is a band of ruyi heads followed by a band of floral meander alternating with Greek key, the bands in blue enamel, the scene in polychrome enamel, egg shell thin porcelain, red enamel four character mark "made for the hall of cultivation of virtue" - a palace mark in a double line square with rounded corners.

    Pair - 5 1/2" h. Baluster - 6 1/8" h. A pair of pyriform vases on a high splayed foot, molded with a raised floral scroll above a raised band which is over a band overlapping lotus leaves, an incised thin band on the wide neck terminating in a flat ringed mouth. The dirty light brown and crazed glaze on the exterior falls to halfway down the foot where the grey sugary body is brown from firing. A third vase is of baluster form with moled leaves on the shoulder below the bulbous portion and on the foot, two applied tubular handles above an incised ring on the neck. The dirty light brown glaze is halfway down the foot.

    Pair - 5 1/2" h. Baluster - 6 1/8" h. Bottle-form vase with pyriform body raised on a high splayed foot, the neck spreading outward near the top of culminating to an inverted scalloped collar which is surmounted by an inward tapered lip, two degenereated animal head handles are applied to the neck, molded with lobed bulbous portion above which is a band of vertical reeding with looped pendants, then a Greek key band followed finally by reeding continuing up to the collar, minutely crazed greenish-beige glaze carelessly applied.

    5 5/5" h. A baluster dorm with undulating foliate mouth and tall splayed foot ring , decorated in low relief, molded, with four separated panels of stiff lotus blossoms framed in arabesque reserve and divided by broad vertical columns which is all flanked by bands, top and bottom, of very thin rayed leaves, the bottom band continuing down the foot, extremely thin and light weight, the buff white glaze covers just the exterior and part of the interior, leaving the concave domed interior and the foot ring unglazed, white porcelaneous body.

Slender ovoid form, painted vividly in deep underglaze-blue with a scene of a bird perched on a branch with twigs devoid of leaves, below is a branch of blooming peonies and leaves and a bat in flight, finely crackled with the lines colored green on a white ground, glazed all over except for the bottom of the foot ring intentional heaped and piling in the blue.
