In April of 2013, Colorado College hosted a momentous entrepreneurial event for its students. The Big Idea was a pitch event where Colorado College students presented their project idea before a panel of five judges in order to compete for $50,000 in funding towards the project. The panel reviewed the project ideas based on financial stability, effect on quality of life, feasibility and presentation, and the potential impact of the project on the world. In this video clip, entrepreneurs Alex Byers, Halsey Landon, Hanna Berglund, Leslie Muzzy, Stanley Sigalov, and Zach Atchinson present their Big Idea, Mobile Munchie Machine.
"The Mobile Munchie Machine is a fast service and high quality food service provider, specializing in a variety of hot sandwiches (grilled cheese, breakfast sandwiched, etc.) at convenient locations for reasonable prices. The Mobile Munchie Machine is the first mobile food service provider to serve the immediate Colorado College vicinity, and has been operating successfully on weekends since November 30, 2012. Though spawned from the 2nd block Entrepreneurship class, the business has since become an independent student-operated venture. We plan to continue providing sandwiches to students on weekends through the end of the year and beyond, as student response thus far has been wildly positive."--Business proposal
