The Cipher is a nonfiction magazine that emphasizes journalistic writing and endeavors to engage the reader in meaningful discourse. The magazine comes out of Colorado College, but does not cover Colorado College exclusively. It investigates matters affecting the college, Colorado Springs, this nation and the world, and strives to be a venue for creative, critical perspectives.


Publication began December 12, 1997. Print issues are available at Tutt Library in Periodicals and in Special Collections. Subtitle varies by issue.
